Binary package hint: sbackup
Tested on Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy.
Trying to restore a single file (maybe a whole directory too, but not tested)
into a different path, requires to manually delete the default path before the
file name.
Directory browsing is ignored if you don't delete the original path before
pressing the button "restore as".
