I have added "blacklist acer-wmi" to the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and it now works correctly the button disable / enable wireless physical button also works now. It is an Acer Aspire 1360 with bios 1.11 which says it works on http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/wiki/SupportedHardware however there are obviously problems in the jaunty version. I guess this should at least be blacklisted for this model. I am not sure what to move the bug onto as I believe this module is shipped with the kernel.
I have attached my dsdt as I guess this might be useful. ** Attachment added: "dsdt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26780757/dsdt -- nm-applet says the wireless is disabled when working using iwconfig iwsan ifconfig etc. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/355289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
