Would it be possible to backport this patch for the time being, until
2.5.6 is released? This is a pretty bad regression for some users. In my
case, I get ~15 windows upon signing in. Every time MSN disconnects and
reconnects, I get those 15 windows appearing again, which I have to
click away, or hold down Alt+C until they all disappear.

The relevant commits are highlighted in the upstream bug report. Perhaps
their changes can be combined into a single patch. I'll try to do this
later if possible.

With Pidgin 2.5.5, when logging in to MSN it always pops up multiple windows
that say "Friendly name changes too rapidly".
