Would it be possible to backport this patch for the time being, until 2.5.6 is released? This is a pretty bad regression for some users. In my case, I get ~15 windows upon signing in. Every time MSN disconnects and reconnects, I get those 15 windows appearing again, which I have to click away, or hold down Alt+C until they all disappear.
The relevant commits are highlighted in the upstream bug report. Perhaps their changes can be combined into a single patch. I'll try to do this later if possible. -- With Pidgin 2.5.5, when logging in to MSN it always pops up multiple windows that say "Friendly name changes too rapidly". https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361372 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
