Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
Handling windows (especially resizing and maximizing) became extremely
slow (approx. 2 seconds), when I activated the proprietory driver fglrx
for my ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics card. This problem does *not* occur,
as long as I use the linux-driver.
BTW: I freshly installed Ubunty Jaunty Jackalope from a live-CD (i386 32
bit).
I have done some google-research on this and thus found out, that I am
not alone with this issue. Unfortunately though, I did not find a
solution on the internet yet.
