Public bug reported:

I guess this bug is going to be even more frustrating for the developers
than it is for me, because it just occurs in random. The whole system
freezes and doesn't react to any commands/shortcuts like restart X
server, reboot or switch to another virtual terminal; only mouse cursor
can be moved. I have to reset using HW button.

As I noticed, usually it happens when I close or open new windows;
sometimes also when I just move a window around the desktop. It has
nothing to do with Firefox, as it had happened when the Firefox was not
running as well. I'd expect it to be somewhere between X server, radeon
drivers (open source) and KDE, but can't really point a finger; it's
more of a wild guess. Logs don't say anything useful.

I don't know if it's related, but I've been also experiencing some
graphics artifacts - icons didn't refresh after boot (they appeared only
after hovering over with mouse cursor), occasionally overlapped window
graphics becomes corrupted, and other rendering artifacts concerning the
graphics refresh. That leads me to believe that the above mentioned
problem is probably somehow linked to graphics.

Well, I hope that attached information helps you to find the cause and
don't hesitate to contact me if you need help to debug.
