My problem was solved when I set the AP security to WPA2 only and not WPA + WPA2, I have a netgear AP and the NIC is a 4965ABGN. Netgear site:
RECOMENDED - Please use “WPA2-ONLY security” instead of “WPA+WPA2 mix mode” on GUI router setting. This will prevent that the client from using incorrect WPA (TKIP) packet transmission error; the fail will trigger router 802.11 function - MIC failure. So, it can be fixed if you just select WPA2-only and has better security mode. -- [Jaunty] Intel wireless 3945ABG is unstable and disconnects frequently https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/348204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
