The problem is still not fixed in Jaunty. I still had to modify my /etc/fstab so that the partitions carrying my music would auto-mount at startup and rythmbox wouldn't throw up import errors. I don't expect any new user to know the problem and the way to fix it. All he would think is that his OS is broken because he has to manually auto mount partitions upon every reboot.
