** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati When I run Google Earth on a PC running Intrepid with an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 card, I have to disable compiz, otherwise sub-windows (eg when you click on a point that brings up a sub-window containing a photo) are not drawn correctly - eg text and graphics are missing from the sub-window, or half the sub-window is obscured by the map. It runs fine with compiz disabled. Google Earth is also fine on another PC with an nvidia card when compiz is enabled. Version info: Ubuntu 8.10, kernel 2.6.28-8-generic xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.9.0+git20081003.f9826a56-0ubuntu2.1 compiz 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 Google Earth 5.0 beta + + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82855PM Processor to I/O Controller [8086:3340] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:016a] + 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10] [1002:4e50] + Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:2001]
