Public bug reported:

The cdc-acm module is missing from kernel 2.6.28-11-generic. This
affects use of USB phone/modem devices. Workarounds include probing
device as USB serial, which compromises functionality.

Details:

Attempting to connect Motorola QA30 Hint (0x22b8, 0x2b24) with stock
kernel on Jaunty.

USB recognizes device (command: lsusb)

cdc_acm module should load.

Note: Compiled custom 2.6.29.3 kernel to include cdc_acm. modified
module in cdc-acm.c to include product/vendor. cdc_acm module now loads
but exits with error -22.
