Binary package hint: pidgin
After upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04, I now have a new mail icon in the
notification area. (Apparently it's actually controlled by a new applet
called indicator applet, not the notification area strictly speaking.)
When I click on it, it shows a dropdown saying Pidgin Instant Messenger.
Clicking on it shows my Buddy List.
1) At first I thought it was a new mail icon.
2) I don't have any unread Pidgin messages either, so why are you showing me
this icon?
