I had same problem. However, I found a workaround. Just changing the
first line of the two files /usr/bin/cgmail and /usr/bin/cgmailservice
as follows seem to solve the problem.
Old line 1:
#!/usr/bin/python
New line 1:
#!/usr/bin/python2.5
