Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: vim
1) Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty 64bit
2) vim 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5
3) gvim should launch with package "vim" installed
4) I installed vim and it works from terminal (launching it by typing "vi" or
"vim")
typing "gvim" gives:
message #1
The program 'gvim' can be found in the following packages:
* vim
* vim-gnome
* vim-tiny
* vim-gtk
* vim-nox
However "vim -g" tells me:
message #1
E25: GUI cannot be used: Not enabled at compile time
Clearly default Jaunty compilation of vim doesn't contain a compiled gui
so I guess message #1 should not have "vim" as one of its members.
** Affects: vim (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
