The acpi problem exists in 8.04 (32 bit Intel, EXT3 file system), clean install.
When trying to recover from a locked-up system update installation by running dpkg --configure -a I received: dpkg: error processing acpid (--configure) unable to flush updated status of `acpid': Read-only file system dpkg: ../../src/packages.c:252: process_queue: Assertion `!queuelen' failed. Aborted Most puzzling is the setup message: Setting up acpid (1.0.4-5ubuntu9.3) It was the ACPI update that locked up the system updater. Is this an appropriate update for ubuntu 8.04? -- could not install 'acpid' (postinst error) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154026 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
