On intrepid I could use Skype with no CPU usage. After upgrade I get both CPU at maximum during the entire call, and I also confirm the growing audio delay (it starts with a approx 5 seconds delay and grows longer and longer as the call goes on).
I've been talking to people using regular phone while Skyping to debug it and there is no delay in video and also there is only a delay in what I send from my computer (there is no delay on the incoming audio at all). Also, if I enable the "connection statistics tooltip" in Skype it says approx 60 ms roundtrip but "BM audio" is "6250 ms" maybe that's the delay amount? ** Summary changed: - Skype high cpu usage on Ubuntu 9.04 using Pulse + Skype high CPU use on 9.04 using pulse (and audio recording/sending delay >5sec) -- Skype high CPU use on 9.04 using pulse (and audio recording/sending delay >5sec) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362203 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
