I think this is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/355155
In my case, I have those [ 0.000000] Fast TSC calibration using PIT [ 0.145055] checking TSC synchronization [CPU#0 -> CPU#1]: passed. [ 0.778058] Marking TSC unstable due to TSC halts in idle [ 1.000176] Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -116420021 ns) straight after boot... and after a while, provided that I am a big too aggressive with my computer (e.g. 20min of fullscreen video... not so aggressive init?), I get those: [ 3996.237102] CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns to 15000 nsec [ 4026.248042] CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns to 22500 nsec and then it's all slow and I have to reboot... slow both in KDE or under a terminal... Can anyone else confirm Karmic does no longer have this issue? I do not feel like moving to an alpha version... Also, has anyone tried 2.6.30-rc6 ?
