Interesting. Removing the ability to delete sounds like a safe way to
ensure this doesn't happen again. Or pehaps a name change? Menu editor
seems be misleading people into thinking they are only editing the
"menu".

Speaking with someone on irc they said that .local has lots of stuff in
it sometimes, is there a more refined solution to those who do mess up
their system? A sub-folder perhaps that could be deleted to restore
default behaviour?
