I am still having this problem. In general there seem to be problems with USB devices with kernel 2.6.28-11 and later.
The system is very unstable and reboots for unknown reasons on a regular basis. This launchpad feedback system is almostcompletely unknown to me. Sure I can post comments and report problems, but nothing seems to get done but change of title? This problem report still says "undecided", Is anything happening? It would be nice to know if there was. Meanwhile I tried a lot of things, but they all failed. i386 9.04 final , amd64 9.04 final The only reasonably stable kernal/version for me was 2.6.28.9/Ubuntu 9.04 alpha 6. After that it's one disaster after another. I am about to drop Ubuntu and move back to XP pro single boot. There's simply more to life than installing unstable operating systems. I need to get some work done once in a while too. I still like the way Ubuntu works a lot and have enjoyed it while it worked. This situation has gone on too long for me however. I do appreciate everyone's efforts to solve this, and still hope there will be a solution in the future. I will keep an eye on this thread, but frankly have lost all convidence. It's back to good old stable XP. the only OS that always worked for me. -- USB HD do not mount in 2.6.28-11 kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/346238 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
