Public bug reported:

After setting up my NIC to use a static IP, resuming from suspend breaks the
network.
To regain network access I have to restart networking...

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

And then this is what happens...

RTNETLINK answers: No such process
SIOCDELRT: No such process
                                                                         [ OK ]
racerr...@raul-6000:~$ * Stopping NTP server ntpd
   ...done.
 * Starting NTP server ntpd
   ...done.

After that I have access to the network.

I've tried searching for a solution for this, and it seems many people have
problems with this using a wireless adapter.
Mine is not a wireless adapter, it is wired.
