Don't forget to do a backup of your home directory before doing anything (including sending the computer)!
I suppose you bought a preinstalled computer. If a partition is dedicated to /home, you could try to install yourself the system, avoiding to send and wait the computer back. The single problem is partitionning to recover home directory (but if you have done a backup...). You need to get Iso file image on internet and burn a CD. ----Message d'origine---- >Date: Fri, 22 May 2009 20:16:46 -0000 >De: Ken >A: [email protected] > status=New; importance=Undecided; assignee=None; > [email protected] >Sujet: Re: [Bug 378864] Re: automatic upgrade causes many system issues > Instance="initZopeless config overlay" > >Dell said that I needed to send back the system to get the OS re- >installed. > > > >________________________________ >From: delance <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Sent: Friday, May 22, 2009 4:09:37 PM >Subject: [Bug 378864] Re: automatic upgrade causes many system issues > >1) I did some research on Google, and Firefox has its own widgets, and do not >use GTK or Qt. >2) Which did you do exactly (and what is the level of Dell technical support) ? > >I think point (2) is the most critical.
