OK. I read that Epiphany and Firefox shares the same plugins, and there are three available plugins : adobe propriatary plugin gnash promoted by FSF swfdec written by another team All are accessible via System->Administration->Synaptic.
I have just installed Epiphany on my computer and open both Firefox and Epiphany on the same flash video... and the sound is OK. I try youtube on Epiphany and the sound is OK. Apologize to Adobe. Their plugin seems to be good. You have a 64 bits system instead I have a 32 bits. It could be specific to 64 bits (actually, i do not know). 1) Did it happen following : an installation from CD of Jaunty a migration from 8.10 to Jaunty via Synaptic an update of packages 2) In Firefox : Tools->Modules, my shockwave flash is 10.0 r22, and yours ? (it's the same shared plugin between epiphany and firefox) 3) Which types of multimedia content is displayed by Firefox (text or another flash content) ? 4) Could be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-lib/+bug/371895. Is the sound working on firefox when it displays flash content. //-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will do some research on google before assigning this bug to a package. -- if firefox is opened i can not hear youtube videos sound with epiphany https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377150 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
