Public bug reported: I have just installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a PC which already has Windows Vista, in duel boot configuration. I am also new to Linux.
The audio works fine in Windows, but in Ubuntu I am unable to hear any sound. I have set all the sliders in the volume control (HDA NVidia Alsa Mixer?) to maximum, but this has had no effect. I have tried the test options in System > Preferences > Sound, but still hear nothing. I ran a bash script that i found on one help page, the output is here: http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=bf9c5615e90c8a02ff3008ac9324898d2b40df6d I would appreciate any help that can be provided. Thank you kindly for your time, Tony Ps. While i have the attachments required in the minimum information notes, I am unsure how to add the attachments to this report as i see no option to add them... ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No sound output on fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 (Nvidia onboard soundcard hdmi?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/379857 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
