Please try restarting Thunderbird after executing the following
commands:
{{{
cd $HOME
find .thunderbird -name \*lock\*
}}}
** Package changed: ubuntu => mozilla-thunderbird (Ubuntu)

"Thunderbird is already running" but this is not shown as a process by the
system. Restart does not help.
