I have the same problem since the kde 4.2.3 from ppa

This morning :

sudo adept manager pops up a windows saying "could not start ksmserver.check 
your installation"
Thought It was a short disfunctionment ! No it is a bug each time I type now 
"sudo kate sth"
I read :

and then xmessage windows pops up. If I click "ok" the xserver reboots !
