After all updates Ubuntu 9.04 64bit behaves in the same way - sometimes reports errors on ext3 partition. Yesterday I installed fresh copy of Ubuntu 9.04 64bit from official alternate CD. System installed successfully but, after second reboot, GRUB stopped with error code 17.
