Thanks for reporting this bug and for helping to improve Ubuntu. Unfortunately, without more information we can't do much to help you. Are you using desktop effects/compiz? Are you using GNOME (Ubuntu), KDE (Kubuntu), XFCE (Xubuntu)? Are you using the Xorg driver for your graphics card or, in the case of an NVIDIA or ATI card, the binary driver provided by NVIDIA or ATI, respectively?
