Scratch that. The PPA's version of Ekiga is 2.9.90. This version connects correctly, but incoming sound cannot be heard, much like non- working Ubuntu 9.04/Ekiga 3.2 setup with Diamondcard. Test cases are piling up, and as I used to have Ekiga 3.0SVN working on Ubuntu 8.10, I don't think this test case should be considered. Correct me if anyone thinks otherwise.
