Well, I also tried to install something from the add/remove panel (which
seemed to work), but it does not work anymore, not even for uninstalling
something....

I think the problem started after I forced Gnome to shut down
(ctrl+alt+backspace), while synaptic was open.

I guess I'll have to reinstall everything in a couple of days...
