Hi everyone, I found a solution to the problem on my machine for this "freezing" issue. I have a Broadcom Wireless adapter on my Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook and I was running the proprietary drivers from "Hardware Drivers". As soon as I installed "fw-cutter" the problem of "freezing" stopped completely. I have not had a freeze for over 7 days and 13 hours of non-stop usage without switching off the notebook. Please let me know if this works for anyone. Thank you.
