Public bug reported: 1) Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 (Actually kubuntu amd64 but a ton of stuff added) 2) alsa-base 1.0.18dsfg-1ubuntu8 (Jaunty) 3) What you expected to happen: I would have the same volume as in WIndowsXP on the same machine 4) What happened instead: I have to crank the voluem settings >90% to get even half the volume WinXP puts out.
