Sadly, "pcmanfm" isn't a workaround for me as it lacks for ex. "Open Terminal here" functionality which is VERY handy on our large share :)
But I did some more testing. As I saw, the newest ubuntu ppa kernel (2.6.29.4) has some bugfixes within cifs, so I installed it, but Thunar still hangs when accessing our netapp. I did also compile and install Thunar 0.9.0 on my xubuntu 9.04, but this one hangs too :( Next, I'll compile it with exo 0.3.4 to see if it has perhaps todo with that library. And I want to try to use the source that came with xubuntu 8.10. I Would be very happy if this bug could be fixed asap as it is really annoying to have to reboot every time I did not pay attention and accessed the share with Thunar. -- Thunar hangs wile loading large folder contents mounted via cifs from NetApp server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/357576 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
