Can confirm this is still around:
:~$ dpkg -l gpac | grep gpac
ii gpac 0.4.4-0.3ubuntu4
multimedia framework based on the MPEG-4 Systems standard
This needs to get sorted either through work around or fix. It is no
beuno when Ubuntu is the only distro with the issue.
