Public bug reported:
After experienceing a crash (newtwork-manager freeze in Jaunty) my raid1
(where /home sits) disk won't start automatically. I am thrown into to a
shell during bootup. But I can assemble the devices by writing madadm
--assemble /dev/md_d0 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1. Then the raid is started and
working fine. However, I cannot make them autostart as they did when
they were created until the crash. I also tried adding
--update=summaries when assembling the drives, but it doesnt make a
difference. After assembling the drives I have checked for errors, but
there are none, so it is most likely an effect of a flag / superblock /
whatever just saying something is wrong without it actually being so.
