Public bug reported:

I'm hoping there's some solution for this, it's driving me nuts.

I am running Intrepid on a Lenovo X200 with an Intel 5300 wireless card.
After a couple of weeks of uptime, the wifi will just quit on me. The
light goes out, and nothing I do seems to bring it back. It's not after
suspend/resume or anything like that, it just stops. I try rmmod'ing
and modprobe'ing modules, and it won't come back, nor will it after
suspend/resume. All I can do is reboot. When I try to reboot, the
system freezes partway through the reboot (although once I was able to
get Ubuntu's login screen back), and I have to force the computer off
with Alt-SysRq or with the power button.

Before this was just a nuisance... reboot every two to four weeks. But
now it's started dying after only a few hours. I have tried using
several 2.6.27 kernels... -14 most recently. (I'm trying -13 again
right now.)

When it goes down, I see something like this in /var/log/messages:

May 27 18:34:51 tenace kernel: [801863.812645] iwlagn: Aborted scan still in
progress
 after 100ms

May 27 18:44:12 tenace kernel: [802424.796106] iwlagn: Aborted scan still in

 after 100ms

And when I try to rmmod iwlagn and modprobe it back, I get this:

I have searched through bug reports but not found anyone else with a
similar problem.

Thanks!
