Hi,

I'm adding additional infos here, if I should file a new bug report please tell
me.
This bug appeared in 8.10 and is still present in 9.04.

Base :
- From a fresh 8.10 / 9.04 installation (first boot)
- The computer runs an ACX 111 based wireless adapter
- Using lshw / iwconfig shows that the adapter is correctly installed

Symptoms :
- Using network manager, no wifi network is found
- iwlist scan wlan0 doesn't find any network
- kernel failures happen at various uptimes (flashing keyboard leds)

Resolution :
- Uninstall network manager (sudo apt-get remove network-manager-gnome)
- Reboot
- Configure manually the adapter through /etc/network/interfaces
- Restart networking

Uninstalling network manager solves all the problems.

To investigate deeper the problem, please tell me what to do, I set up a
test machine for solving this issue.

Regards
