I seem to be having the same general issue, though I cannot get
knetworkmanager to function either. It detects my network, and attempts
to connect for what seems like.. ever. Ocassionally it will ask for the
wpa-personal passkey again, but again fail.
I get these few msg's cycling repeatedly in dmesg:
