FYI, I still get the bug in the latest Jaunty with compiz 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu8.1 and xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.12.1-0ubuntu2.
I can confirm that the driver doesn't support DRI2 on my card (Xorg.0.log says (II) Loading extension DRI2 / (II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI2 capable). If it is a DRI2 issue, is this bug related to bug #96991?
