Binary package hint: nautilus
I open a remote ssh://... directory with debs inside it, and the default
application to open a .deb archive is kpackage, and gdebi is missing,
while locally (on the desktop) gdebi is present and it is the default
option. I don't have a clue of what's going on there :)
