Perhaps is may be worth noting some additional detail with my scenario. I have been using ksnapshot for many years now. I just recently upgraded my kubuntu to jaunty and am experiencing the problem described here.
First I will metion that I am running dual screen (xinerama style) and I know there is some strangeness with that although I it has been a long time since I had issues with ksnapshot with regard to dual screen. When I select 'region' it seems the timer is still acknowledged and I do not recall that being the case int the past (but I could be remembering wrong). Actually I would like for the timer to be used in conjunction with 'region', but it seem in this case that perhaps the keyboard/moluse event processing might somehow be getting in a state where you have to kill ksnapshot to get things back to *normal*. After I read this bug report I tried ksnapshot again while intentionally not causing any keyboard or mouse event to fire during the timer period. Thne I was able to successfully select a region, but it did not properly draw the selection box while I was doing it. Anyway, hope some of this detail helps point someone in the right direction to find the trouble and fix it. -- ksnapshot-kde4 "Region" capture mode blocks UI completely in 4.0.2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198617 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
