Public bug reported:
The default image size for m1.small is 512MB. m1.small is the default
image type and almost everyone uses a root image that is larger than
that. It should be possible for the front end to detect the size of the
image and pick the right image type or change defaults for m1.small. Or
reply with a more helpful message (current behavior is that the run
request is accepted, but an instance goes from pending to terminated
without any client side error output).
