I use Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 (20090318) in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Hardy Heron I never open an email in a window, i just read them in the lower panel. This is an intermittent bug, in that it doesn't occur all the time. However, once it's started in a particular email, it will carry on happening no matter how often you undelete it. And you don't have to be in the lower part of the email for it to occur.
It drives me nuts. When will it be fixed?
