Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I am a new user installing Ubuntu utilizing a cd created from the
"ubuntu-6.06.1-desktop-i386.iso" from the website mirror. Being that I
am new to this I am unsure how to get the files
/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman from
the computer that the install crashed on. If you let me know how I will
attempt it. The computer this happened to is a stand alone and not on a
network yet. It has a epox mvp3 mobo, amd-k6-2/500 proc, 327680k mem,
ide hard drive, nvidia 3d graphics card, ava-1505a scsi controller card
& 2 scsi hard drives attached (are previously formated for win98 to
use), soundblaster sound card and a generic nic card in it. Thank You
for your help.
