This problem is definitely something to do with high CPU usage, at least
on my machine. First, my specs: Dell Latitude D520, 1.66GHz Centrino
Duo, 3GB of RAM, lspci lists my audio device as "00:1b.0 Audio device:
Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller
(rev 01)". Now, if you guys want, you can run me out of here--I am
running an unofficial kernel build; it is "2.6.29-02062903-generic"; I
installed it to combat the Intel graphics regression. If these two fixes
are mutually exclusive, I am going to revert to 9.04 because that would
make 9.10 unusable...
