well, I have minimal Linux skills - I really have no idea how I would trigger a report from the app, as far as it knew it was happy, it just didn't see any wireless options ....I was just hoping to help out, as open source has been good to me, and the behavior was so repeatable and clear between the 2 kernel versions I tried to type Xubuntu 8.x as package but launchpad wanted something else so I just embedded info in body ...since report I am now running on 9.04 FYI, so I will confirm the behavior still exists
