Public bug reported:
Hi
After booting 9.04 from LiveCD, or after installing Ubuntu 9.04 in
"compatibility mode" (with vesa) and changing then to "radeon" there is a
chessboard design at the monitor.
Ubuntu is still working, but there is a chessboard desing on the hole desktop
by using "radeon" driver. It still works in vesa mode.
I also used new drivers from:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates/ubuntu jaunty main
but no difference.
I can see the desktop only at the white areas of the chessboard, the black ones
are still black and I cannot see what's behind of them.
Also the fonts aren't ok, too.
Ubuntu 8.10 doesn't had this bug.
