Binary package hint: adept-updater
In my kubuntu 6.06 the updater icon doesn´t know about new updates until I
fetch a new package list in adept, then it appears.
But this way it´s useless, it shold auto-fetch a new package list e.g. once a
day. So it´s a real "notofocation" for available updates.
