Ubuntu version 8.10 Intrepid Ibex with Kernel 2.6.27.11
I keep "splash" disabled in /boot/grub/menu.list to see all the log OK/ERROR at
power-on.
Power on, GNOME logon, all work ok.
O got the 6 consoles, the first with boot messages, the 7th with X.
After choose shutdown, GNOME logout, X close, the screen switch to console 1,
but the poweroff messages goes to console 7.
So to see log messages, I have to manually switch to console 7 with CTRL-ALT-7.
This doeas not happened with Ubuntu versione 8.04 Hardy Heron and
previous.
