On the computer documented in the bug, I get the exact same error as when I attempt to boot the live cd. This is the same error that I receive when I upgraded my server patition on this hardware via a network upgrade.
However, on a different system Dell Dimension 2350 with a P4 2.60 GHz cpu, I have successfully booted this exact Live CD and upgraded subsequently upgraded (with an alternative CD).
