If you did not patch it, you did not use the patch. :) Execute in Applications > Accessories > Terminal: apt-cache policy software-properties-kde If it says "Installed: 0.71.5" then you did not use the correct version. My patch is with the new package version 0.72 in karmic (future ubuntu 9.10).
