Here's strace. Unfortunately, there's some serious bugs floating around causing dbus and other software to fail at the moment (see bug #384409, for example) and dpkg did not quit. It was unresponsive, so I closed the terminal window. It's still running in the background.
I don't think it's completed running (and never will), and I didn't get the same error. It could be some other package that continued to run in the background (can/do they do that???) that caused this issue. If you don't see anything unusual in strace, you might as well mark the bug as Invalid, since this'll be like searching for a needle in a haystack AFAICT. ** Attachment added: "openssh-server.trace" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27630162/openssh-server.trace -- When upgrading from openssh-server 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu1 to 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu2: "ImportError: No module named lsb_release" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383450 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
