I had the same problems installing installing Ubuntu 9.04 on a new Dell Optiplex 960 machine. When i changed the BIOS to the default settings the following three changes occured on my system;
In Drives-> SATA Operation -> RAID On (instead of RAID Autodetect/ATA) In System-> Integrated NIC-> Enable (instead of Enable with PXE) In Performance-> C States Control -> Disabled (instead of Enabled) Don't know which of these settings caused the problem but it seems to be resolved now and the installation was performed without any problem. -- Ubuntu Jauntyalpha 3 does not boot from Live CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325121 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
